From autumn 2024 we will start with a new group on the sunny island of Gran Canaria. We organize these via Meetup. In our Meetup group you will find the tour descriptions, the exact details of the meeting point, photos, comments, direct messages and you can register for a tour and unsubscribe at any time.
We love exploring the south of Gran Canaria by bike in comfort and in good company. There are already enough sports cyclists who climb the mountains. We have a very broad base. The entire diversity of society is represented here. The queer community as well as straight people and people from all over the world feel comfortable with us.
Anyone planning to visit or live in Gran Canaria between October and March can enter now so they don’t miss anything. Queer Cycling Maspalomas – a group from www.queer-radeln.de
We are not an association, but a group that is open to everyone for whom diversity is a given. We work on a voluntary basis without any remuneration.
We ride from October to March. We will initially offer guided bike tours in and around Maspalomas that avoid extreme gradients:
Our Maspalomas circular tour is suitable for almost every bike and also for beginners: Watch our videos on YouTube .
We will offer them at regular intervals so that everyone who is interested can take part. We also take this tour with small groups. There is no minimum number of participants.
The focus is not on athletic performance. Above all, it should be fun to be out and about in good company with nice people in good weather and to experience the sunny south of Gran Canaria together with nice people and to make new friends and acquaintances.
Our excursions are often suitable for almost any bike. Electrically assisted bicycles (Pedelecs) are recommended for tours with steeper inclines.
Bicycles can be rented at the Free Motion bases at our starting points for a price starting at €15 per day. We are happy to accept reservations. But everyone has to pay themselves.
The inevitable note at the end: Queer-Radeln bike tours are privately organized and not commercial. Participation is at your own risk. The tour leaders assume no liability for any damage and/or accidents during the tours. Each participant is responsible for the roadworthy condition of his/her bike.
